Welcome to my blog about art, life and being an artist.
I have been blessed to follow my passion and dream as a professional artist. It has been a road of good times and not so pleasant times.
The desire to paint and create runs through my veins and is an essential part of my life.
I will share my studio experiences with you working on my current art projects. I am primarily a painter working in watercolor and oils.
I recently switched back to painting in oils last week. I have three main subjects I am interested in painting. The first is the Women’s Series which I try to translate into women of strength and character.
The second is the Urban Landscape Series. I love architecture and feel the need to document our vanishing historical buildings around the area I live.
The third of the series are the Still Life paintings. I love to practice drawing from real life, not from photos. This exercise gives me the opportunity to paint objects I collect and to strengthen my drawing skills. This is a never ending lesson. Practice makes a stronger artist and painter.
